Opened in June of 1987, Gem Mountain Gemstone Mine has been providing family fun for over 35 years. Opened with a passion for gemstones and sharing Mitchell County’s heritage and history of gem mining, Charles and Kay have dedicated their lives to providing a unique and memorable getaway for all! We are all about providing a relaxing and fun atmosphere for you and your family to enjoy our beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. Find treasures at the flume mine and then have your finds made into jewelry. If you can draw it, we can make it! Everything you find, you keep.
